[SQU] About the request hit ratios.

hi ,everyone.
    I have the two question:
    First,Current my squid ratios can reach 50% ,so What methods can I use to make my request hit ratios to 90%. I need some advice ,exmple the hardware configuration, the system os,and the outer width. It is a precondition that i have about 300 users.
    Second, the Squid + ip masquerade can resuld in performance degradation?
