Yes its possibly by using the cache_peer setting and setting the first proxy
to accept connection from the second proxy as a sibling.
You will need to have both machine multi-homed

Subject: [squid-users] is this possible in squid?

Hi ALL:

We have one proxy server (say proxy1) connected directly to the net. I plan
to create another proxy box (say proxy2) that connects to the original
server (proxy2 and the clients do not have direct internet access). Clients
then connect to this secondary box (but not on the original). Is this
possible?

To illustrate:

client-->pxoxy2-->internal router-->proxy1-->external router-->internet

note, currently, clients connect direct to proxy1.

Thank you in Advance,
-botp
