Hi,

Does anyone have any ideas how to solve "FATAL: Received Segment
Violation...dying." problem that occurs within a random period of time after
squid starts (sometimes within an hour .. sometimes 2-4 hours later).

I am using RedHat 7.1 (2.4.5 kernel), glibc-2.2.3, gcc version 2.96. Here is
my config:

CFLAGS='-g -Wall'
./configure \
--prefix=/usr \
--exec-prefix=/usr \
--sysconfdir=/etc/squid \
--enable-snmp \
--disable-poll \
--enable-removal-policies=heap \
--enable-linux-netfilter \
--enable-async-io=32

I also have this working transparently using WCCP and a Cisco router. Port
80 on the server is redirected to port 3128 via IPTABLES.

System is PIII 933, 1GB RAM, Adaptec AIC7899 adapter, and 4 x Seagate 9GB
drives (formatted with reiserfs).

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Cheers,

Shane
