[squid-users] problems with snmp (or mibs?)

Hi all,
as i saw, from Squid2.2 it's not possible to define in the squid.conf the
"snmp_mib_path" .
I've installed Squid2.4 on a Linux box 2.2.19, enabled configure with
--enable-snmp and started the daemon.

As i checked, the daemon binded the squid-snmpd on 3401/UDP port.
I tried to use 'snmpwalk' of UCD-SNMP collection without any positive
results as you could check below.

root@active:~# snmpwalk -m all -p 3401 127.0.0.1 public
End of MIB

<--Strace OUTPUT--->
recvfrom(18, "0&\2\1\0\4\6public\241\31\2\0045\1\301\344\2\1\0\2\1\000"...,

sin_addr=inet_addr("127.0.0.1")}}, [16]) = 40

poll([{fd=17, events=POLLIN}, {fd=18, events=POLLIN, revents=POLLIN}], 2,
1000) = 1
recvfrom(18, "0&\2\1\0\4\6public\240\31\2\0045\1\301\345\2\1\0\2\1\000"...,
4096, 0, {sin_family=AF_INET, sin_port=htons(1866),
sin_addr=inet_addr("127.0.0.1")}}, [16]) = 40
sendto(18, "0\202\0,\2\1\0\4\6public\242\202\0\35\2\0045\1\301\345"..., 48,
0, {sin_family=AF_INET, sin_port=htons(1866),
sin_addr=inet_addr("127.0.0.1")}}, 16) = 48
[...]
<--Strace EOF--->

As i could see, squid couldn't handle mib.txt list present in
/usr/local/squid/etc/ directory.

Any ideas? I'm doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance
Enrico
