[squid-users] -z time and -k rotate question

Gonna rebuild our cache_dir and need to know about how long it takes to
create a cache dir with 32 L1 and 256 L2 (in a ballpark so to say).
How will it affect squid to run -k rotate when some logs are just a pipe
to another system, know it can't rotate that file but will it cause any
errors?
