I've a problem with with my squid2.4 Stable 1. Today in the morning squid dies and all I could find out were the following lines in cache.log:

2001/11/15 09:44:14| commResetFD: socket: (55) No buffer space available
2001/11/15 09:44:14| comm_open: socket failure: (55) No buffer space available
2001/11/15 09:44:14| comm_open: socket failure: (55) No buffer space available
2001/11/15 09:44:14| comm_accept: FD 7: (55) No buffer space available
2001/11/15 09:44:14| httpAccept: FD 7: accept failure: (55) No buffer space available
2001/11/15 09:44:14| comm_open: socket failure: (55) No buffer space available
2001/11/15 09:44:14| comm_open: socket failure: (55) No buffer space available
2001/11/15 09:44:14| comm_open: socket failure: (55) No buffer space available
FATAL: Received Segment Violation...dying.

Available memory is 2GB, number of filedescriptors is set to 8096 and the open tcp connections didn't exceed this number.
I have no idea what's going wrong.

Every hint is highly appreciated. Thanx in advance for your assistance.

Michael
