[squid-users] cache digests and multiple http_ports

hi there,

i see a strange problem with squid, cache_digests and
multiple http_ports.

my config reads like this:

http_port 3128
http_port 4128

there are some 'children' (squid) around who communicate
with this box on port 4128 _only_. however, they cannot
retrieve the digest url - in my access log squid
says 'TCP_MISS/403' - on the retrieving machine it says
'temporarily diabling (forbidden) digest from x.y.x.y'.

i think this is not an acl problem, but the 403 code makes
me wonder a little bit...

if the 'children' use port 3128, then the digest can be fetched.

it appears as if squid would only allow the digest to be
retrieved from the very first http_port configured in squid.conf.

can anyone confirm that? - or tell me what i've missed :-).

thanks for your input.

torsten
