If you want to give it a shot, you can of course.

The problem is, the samba sources (it REQUIRES a very recent samba HEAD from
CVS)
are EXTREMELY unstable right now.

The problem is NOT the helper per se, it is fairly trivial. But until
I can't find a working samba version, it's up for grabs.
Maybe samba-2.2.3, when it'll be out...
