The Qube apparently includes an (optional) web caching component, and
from what I can tell it is Squid.
The proxy port is 3128 (according to the docs), and on the FTP site
there is a Source RPM of Squid-2.3.STABLE3 for Qube 3..
The fact that there is no apparent updates to the Squid component
emphasizes what you said about "trying"...
