Hello Henrik,
I am using Rehat Linux-7.1 kernel 2.2.19.in Dell server 900MHz 18 SCSI
DISK(12GB for CACHE)
512 MB RAM. 100Mbs On boars intal NIC card.

Squid 2.4 STABLE1

I increased File descreptor to 16384.
