[squid-users] How to check for SNMP on squid?

Hello!

I would like to use MRTG for monitoring my squid box.

I read in squid.conf that I've to activate SNMP at build-time.

How do I check if it's active or not? And, if it ain't active, how to
proceed to get it working without doing harm to my squid box?
