Hi.

Besides LDAP there's another way to do this. What you need is NDS
Authentication Services. That's a product from Novell that allows
applications to perform authentication to the NDS using a NDS pam module.
It supports several OS's, including Linux, FreeBSD and Solaris.

I'm currently experimenting with a setup at home, but I'm still in the
phase of setting up the Novell side and getting it to search for the user
to authenticate. Something like contextless login used in the Novell
environment. Unfornately, the documentation isn't very clear.

I've posted about this some time ago, but I got no response. So, is there
anyone that has some experience with this setup?
