[squid-users] Squid aborts after first non-local request

I'm running FreeBSD 4.5 with Squid 2.4. Squid works fine as long as the
requests are local. It even works fine if the request is for a web server
on the same subnet. But as soon as it receives a request for say,
www.yahoo.com... it aborts with no info even at debug level 9. Any help
here would be greatly appreciated.
