[squid-users] question: authentication, ssl, reverse mode

hi
i have some questions:
i am using squid 2.5 stable1.

first: is it possible to have user authentication in reverse proxy mode?
  it seems as if there was a compile option in an earlier version, but now?
if i try to use authentication, it only works in "normal" proxy mode.

second: is it possible to have secure (ssl) connections from client to
squid and from squid to content server in reverse proxy mode?
i have squid running as a ssl gateway, but what about the connection
squid to content server???
