hi all,

i have been uing squid (presently 24s7) & now compiling squid 25s1.. but
am facing a few problem(errors) which are...
make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/squid-2.5.STABLE1/src/repl'
Making all in auth
make[3]: Entering directory `/usr/local/src/squid-2.5.STABLE1/src/auth'
make[4]: Entering directory `/usr/local/src/squid-2.5.STABLE1/src/auth'
make[4]: *** No rule to make target `lib.a', needed by `all-am'. Stop.
make[4]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/squid-2.5.STABLE1/src/auth'
make[3]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/squid-2.5.STABLE1/src/auth'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/squid-2.5.STABLE1/src'
make[1]: *** [all] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/squid-2.5.STABLE1/src'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
root@Lr1 squid-2.5.STABLE1]#

i have enabled the following with configure

--enable-linux-netfilter --enable-internal-dns
--disable-basic-auth-helpers --disable-ntlm-auth-helpers
--disable-digest-auth-helpers --enable-external-acl-helpers

i dont want any auth and squid will be in transparent mode and for that
i have given the above configure statements but still i can see(see
below) that its still enabled...
...
Linux-Netfilter Transparent Proxy enabled
Auth scheme modules built: basic
External acl helpers built: ip_user ldap_group unix_group wbinfo_group
winbind_group
unlinkd enabled
..
..

why so ??... i dont want any auth and i have been doing the same but
with the latest stableversion i cant.. is auth compulsory with squid
25s1 ??.. what else i have to do to disable auth??
awaiting your help...
