I'm not sure about setting Environment variables on MacOSx but you'll need to set your $PATH variable to include the directory that contains your C compiler. On Linux (bash) you'd do
PATH=/path/to/gcc

Subject: [squid-users] ./configure on MacOx X (I'm new)
Hi !
I've joined this list after I had read the archive, and I didn't find
an answer to my problem :
I'm trying to compile Squid under MacOx X.2.1 and ./configure tells me
: "configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH".
Before, "checking for gcc... no" is displayed. This is strange, because
it seemed to me that gcc is included in Darwin. Could someone help me ?
