I agree with this. Even when it works, it is just too intrusive. I can't
imagine any user base being happy with it. If I tried to install it at a
client's, I have no doubt it would be the last thing I did for them.

The most promising option I've seen is a DansGuardian addin/mod at
http://www.pcxperience.org/dgvirus/.
