Hi,

my Squid (Version 2.4.STABLE7 on debian 2.2.20 behind a firewall with
transparent ftp-proxy) ist working fine for most sites, but I found that
for files on ftp://ftp.compaq.com the download doesn't work.
While getting ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/softpaq/sp21001-21500/SP21212.exe

wolf@mars:~> wget
ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/softpaq/sp21001-21500/SP21212.exe

--12:16:15-- ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/softpaq/sp21001-21500/SP21212.exe
           => `SP21212.exe'

In the cache.log I get:
2002/10/30 12:16:22| ftpDataRead: read error: (22) Invalid argument

The download on the squid-host itself without using squid works fine:
pluto:~# wget ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/softpaq/sp21001-21500/SP21212.exe
--12:21:42-- ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/softpaq/sp21001-21500/SP21212.exe
           => `SP21212.exe'

So it seems for me that squid tries to get the file in a different way.
What can I do? I have nothing special in my squid.conf. passiv is set to
off. No cache peers.

Cheers
