[squid-users] out of filedescriptors even I have changed in autoconf.h

Hello My dear Squid users,

I'm runing squid on Red Hat Linux 6.2 and Squid
version is 2.5 Stable1.
My Squid is running out of as show below.
and it's decreasing speed very much.
2002/11/19 04:28:57| WARNING! Your cache is running
out of filedescriptors.

as I know i have set ulimit 2048 and also I changed it
in autoconf.h file 1024 to 2048 but it's still running
with 1024 default file descriptors. when I run command
on linux ulimit

[root@matrix include]# ulimit
unlimited
[root@matrix include]#

it's displaying like that please tell me if anyone
know.
