Yes.

Not really, its very dependent on your usage pattern. Start with the
largest size you can use based on your available memory.

With 1GB OF RAM, you can run most of that disk as cache. That should be
enough.

Be sure to use aufs or diskd as the cache_dir.

Follow the FAQ closely on memory and performance tuning.
