No, I do not.

There is news, but let me first tell what I did:

- Just to be sure I know what I'm using I compiled Squid 2.5 myself. No
  change, same problem.

- Switched from aufs to ufs... and got transfer speeds of about
  11.6 MByte/s (network client) and >100 MByte/s (local client)!!

- Tried it with Squid 2.4 from the Debian package: same result,
  switching to ufs delivers same high performance of about 11.7 MByte/s
  for the network client

So now I do have a question: Why does using POSIX threads cause that
dramatic performance loss on a SMP system?!
