[squid-users] Problems with file descriptors

I keep getting this error message..

Feb 5 11:04:10 cache squid[826]: WARNING! Your cache is running out of
filedescriptors

I'm running RH 7.0 with Kernel version 2.4.9.. Someone tell me how the heck
to fix this...
Please DON'T tell me to read the FAQ's, they don't say much on 2.4, mostly
2.0 and 2.2.
