It seems that the problem does not exist in 2.5. The problematic site
fixed their DNS issues, so testing was done in a lab environment
using Squid 2.5.STABLE1-20030310. Regardless of the DNS error
(NXDOMAIN or SRVFAIL) squid retrieved the page properly when
requesting by IP.
