RE: [squid-users] Can't download settings from proxy? Notnecessarily a Squid issue, but maybe someone can help.

Hi Rob (and everyone else),

Okay, I lied. It doesn't work. At least not with 98. It seemed to
work with the XP machines though.

Anyways, I'm going to have to investigate a little further with the
registry deal then. I tried what they recommended in that KB article on
a couple of the 98 machines I have, and none of them have that key! Go
figure!

Anyways, I'm open to suggestions as well then for the registry editing.
It certainly doesn't do anyone any good to use it if MS is going to
cache the result. Kind of defeats the purpose of WPAD.
