Howdy All,
Currently I am running squid 2.4STABLE6 on Debian 3.0
with 2.4.18 kernel and am having some weird issues. I searched the
archives and found other people discussing this exact issue but no
resolution or even suggestion of a work around.

Basically I am using squid in httpd_accel mode for a exchange 2000 OWA
server. It currently appears to work quite well, if the client is going
through a proxy.

When going through a proxy they receive an auth window with two boxes
usrename & password. Entering there details here it works happily.

If they turn the proxy off they receive an auth window with three boxes
username, password and domain. And regardless of the what is entered in
to this window they receive an "Access is denied" page.

I have examined MS articles 169649 & 169649 and also
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=/support/exchange/content
/whitepapers/owa_tshoot.asp to no avail.

The Squid mailing list articles I have seen that mention this are as
follows.

http://www.squid-cache.org/mail-archive/squid-users/200209/0022.html

I am not sure as to which product is causing the fault. However any help
on this matter would be highly appreciated.

On a side note the server is running in virtual mode to another web
based email package, namely squirrelmail, and it is working fine. It is
only when accessing the OWA that this issue is encounted.

Once again I thank you for your time.
