Hi,

A more clear description of the problem is:

Using Netscape I connect successfully with a remote
site using the URL: ftp://username@hostname.domainname

The system prompts me for password, etc.
Login is successful and I get placed in the correct directory.
When trying to download from the remote site, all goes fine.
When trying to upload to the same host, using the "Upload" option,
(after
selecting the relevant files) I get a "Broken pipe"
error message constantly. This also occurs with other
hosts, ONLY when I use the squid proxy server to connect.
(ftp settings in my browser is: IP_of_proxy_server Port 3128
When trying to upload (not using the proxy server) all
is successful.

Q: What am I doing wrong here?

Regards,

Werner
