thanks for your reply

i am using the squid as the httpd proxy server for the Instant Messengers
like yahoo messenger or aol.

i'd like log all the incoming and outgoing messages which the users of
messengers corresponded.
(provided that they are using the squid proxy server)

i noticed that access.log logs some messages, but i don't have the actual
messages typed by
the users in their Instant Messenger.

i looked through the doc., i haven't found anything related to this. ( i
think.)
is there a command line option or configure option i need to use? i checked
the configure option,
and also the squid command option but i don't see any option related to
this.

if i need to modify the code, which routines should i start with?

thanks,

sue
