Yes. For details on how to install Samba and winbind helpers see the
Squid FAQ.

Or you can use LDAP if you do not need NTLM authentication or if your
ADS does not support NT Domains.

ADS in mixed mode support Win98 domain members via the NT-Domains
functionality from what I have understood.
