[squid-users] Squid opening too many connections

Hi,

I am using squidNT 2.5STABLE3 on Windows2000 pro with other proxy
software configured as parent for squid. And I found, that squid opens
many connections to its parent, much more connections than browser
opened to squid. This causes problems since the parent proxy allows 100
connections at maximum. I have no idea why this happens. Has anobody
idea how to prevent this silly behaviour?
