Okay, so one of my comments is inappropriate - you can't try that.

However, I still think there must be something (possibly significantly)
different between your graphical and your text browser in order for you to
get different results like this.

And it would still be useful to know if SquidGuard can be made to show
anything useful in some log files somewhere about what it's doing?
