[squid-users] Recommend cache_mem size

Dear List
 
we are using squid on our cache server the specs are
as follows
 
.Pentitum 4 Intel Server Board
.1 GB DDR Ram
.OS Red Linux 9 with wccp version 1 patch
. swap 504 MB
.using separate scsi disks for caches and OS
 squid compile with aufs and snmp
 squid HTTP requests per minute: 1928.8
 
i change the default cache_mem size 32 MB to 512 MB
 
but still there no improvement in performace i want to
take maxium
output my hardware ??
 
or should i have to linux default buffer/cache size .
 
any suggestions ?
