Hello Adam,

Depending on how adventurous you are, you might try installing Webmin.
(http://www.webmin.com) It has a very nice GUI for administrating
most services on a Linux host. (Especially Squid).

However, to really understand the power of Squid and make use of it, I
would recommend understanding the Squid configuration file.
