Hi,

WCCP is a 'hack' and works by hijacking packets and redirecting them to the
cache. As far as I know, you cannot combine transparent proxy with
Authentication. You will need to manually configure the browsers for
authentication.

You will have to decide which is important for your network: Transparency or
Authentication.

Subject: [squid-users] Transparent Proxy-wccp+Squidguard+Ncsa ?

Hi all,

I have problem with wccp+squidguard+ncsa right now, i use Cisco
Router 3640 and Squid running on FreeBSD. if i move on with
transparent proxy so Squid NCSA Authentication can't work like
i want it but if i was setting client direct use manual proxy
so i can move on Squid NCSA Authentication.Do you have idea for
wccp+squidGuard+ncsa ? Can Squid direct
connected to radius server for Authentication ?
Regards
