The Foundry doesn't support 'HTTP header insertion' on the ServerIron XL, which is what I have. http://www.foundrynet.com/services/documentation/siug/ServerIron_url_swi tching.html#68246 How can I patch squid 2.5 stable4 rpm version? -Devon -----Original Message----- From: Emilio Casbas [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, October 06, 2004 12:48 PM To: dot Cc: [email protected]; Harding, Devon Subject: Re: [squid-users] Client IP & Load Balancer dot wrote: >Hi, > >sorry for misunderstanding, but isn't the communication as follows: >the client ask the balancer, the balancer balances on few squids, squid >is asking the destination ?? >If so, and you want to see client IP on squidy, the balancer should >insert the xff-header and squid handle it. > > Correct >Is the balancer able/configured to do this ? >Another way is a kind of transparent mode of balancers, I don't know if >Foundry supports this. > > Yes, the balancer is able to do this, we`ve working with foundry and squid in this way.
