[squid-users] LDAP Authentication Helper

I read in the FAQ that it is possible to authenticate against an LDAP
server,
         "In order to authenticate users, you need to compile and install
         one of the supplied authentication modules found in the
         helpers/basic_auth/ directory, one of the others, or supply your
         own."

Can someone point me to more information? The examples in the FAQ seem to
only cover Samba.
