None of the above. Just use a pac script to distribute the clients.
If pac scripts is not suitable use a L4 load balancer infront of the
cluster, distributing the load suitably. Linux-Virtual-Server is a
reasonably good L4 load balancer, but you also have L4 load balancer in
most switch brands..
