  - You could try one of the daily auto generated releases.
  - Advising too , to use configure options which are needed;
    I am confused about configuring pthreads, while diskd is
    being used. Avoid options which you do not need and or
    which you are not sure about.
  - http://www.squid-cache.org/bugs/index.cgi and pray (like bug & pray) :-)
    Kidding, use the above to send in a bug report , if all else fails. And
    probably otherwise too.
