 That can't happen, as you state.
 The thing is , what do you mean by 'squidguard blocked'.
 Squidguard is not a web blocker but a general purpose redirector.
 It can be used in that way, indeed. But ->
 Did you setup squidguard correctly ?

 What in squid's access log for 'www.caramail.com', verify this
 entry (and that it is correctly processed by squidguard).
