[squid-users] Reverse proxy redirector

I have a redirector setup on my reverse squid proxy to change all http
requests to https. But it doesn't seem to be working. Here is the
script:

#!/usr/bin/perl
$|=1; #Don't buffer output.

while(<>) #Infinite loop. running as a daemon
{
   $url=(split)[0];
   $url=~ s/^http:/https:/;
   print "$url\n";
}

See any reason why this will not redirect http to https?

I get this error:

ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved
