[squid-users] changing file discriptors

Dear All,

i have run the command ulimit -HSn 8192
and after that i have complied the squid package,,
while it was compiling i got the following lines :

checking for strerror... yes
checking for initgroups... yes
              checking Default FD_SETSIZE value... 1024
              checking Maximum number of filedescriptors we can open... 8192
checking Default UDP send buffer size... 65535
checking Default UDP receive buffer size... 65535

does that mean i have succefully changed the file descriptors ? or still not
changed yet ?!!
