[squid-users] Urgent help, squid not starting at all..

Hi,

 I run into a problem with my squid stable9 running on my Fedora Core 2
box, after I configure it and all I try to start the service but it
always fails. Here are the errors I get:

init_cache_dir /var/spool/squid... Starting squid: [FAILED]

and on the message log I get the following:

Apr 5 09:26:22 mail squid[3304]: Squid Parent: child process -1 started
Apr 5 09:26:22 mail squid[3304]: Squid Parent: child process -1 exited
due to signal 80
Apr 5 09:26:22 mail squid[3304]: Exiting due to repeated, frequent failures
Apr 5 09:32:39 mail squid[3363]: fork failed: (12) Cannot allocate memory
Apr 5 09:32:39 mail squid[3363]: Squid Parent: child process -1 started
Apr 5 09:32:39 mail squid[3363]: Squid Parent: child process -1 exited
due to signal 80

I really need some help guys, I've been battling with this since
yesterday, please help out.
