Thanks Henrik, I may post it up.

To anybody that has already grabbed this patch, I would like to warn of
a bug which has reared its ugly head in this patch.. Seems that the
programmer has stored the authenticating ip in a global which is all
very well except that when another user goes to auth after the
authentication request is sent the global is clobbered by the new
source address of the next user.
