[squid-users] slow squid

Hi there,

            i have installed squid 2.5 stable 10 on fedora core 3 on pentium
4 processor 512 ram pc and scsi hard disk

my cache dir conf is:
cache_dir ufs /usr/local/squid/var/cache 30000 14 256

cache dir now is getting 38% but its realy slow even no one working on it
now but me

any clue??
