The Squid Web Proxy developers is pleased to announce the availability
of the Squid-2.5.STABLE13 bugfix release.

All users are recommended to schedule an upgrade at a convenient time.

This new release can be downloaded from our HTTP or FTP servers

or the mirrors. For a list of mirror sites see

The most important bug fixes / additions in the Squid-2.5.STABLE13
release are:

[Major] connstate related memory leak plugged. A potential
denial-of-service due to excessive memory usage if not noticed
        in time. (#1522)

[Medium] ftp upload issues fixed. Uploaded ftp:// objects got
truncated if the transfer took more than read_timeout to
        complete. (#1459)

[Medium] delay pools given too much bandwidth after "-k
reconfigure". Previously the pools got assigned the double
bandwidth they should have (or more depending on how many times
you reconfigured Squid). The issue where currently running
requests are no longer limited by the delay pools after a
        reconfigure still exists however. (#1481)

In addition there is a number of minor bugfixes and cosmetic
enhancements to further improve your experience of running Squid:

[Minor] Fails to compile on Solaris and some other platforms
with undefined reference to setenv (#1435)

[Cosmetic] Added WebDAV REPORT method to know HTTP methods list

[Minor] Squid ntlm_auth (not the Samba provided one) giving odd
results if --enable-ntlm-fail-open is used (#1022)

[Minor] wbinfo_group.pl doesn't work with Samba 3.0.21 and later
        (#1472)

[Minor] Squid crash when asyncio function counters url accessed
        from Cachemgr CGI (#1464)

[Cosmetic] Linix compile warning about prctl called with too few
        arguments (#1483)

[Minor] Wrong timezone declaration for 64 bit Irix (#1479)

[Minor] Some 206 responses logged incorrectly (#1511)

[Minor] Issues in processing ranges on objects >2GB (#437)

[Cosmetic] Segmentation fault on empty proxy_auth ACLs (#1414)

[Minor] Ident access lists don't work in delay_access statements
        (#1428)

[Minor] Some clients support NTLM even if not initially
        negotiating persistent connections (#1447)

        [Cosmetic] New persistent_connection_after_error configuration
        directive (#1482)

[Cosmetic] Hangs at 100% CPU if /dev/null is not accessible
        (#1484)

[Minor] Fails to compile on Fedora Core 5 test 2 x86_64 (#1492)

        [Cosmetic] Typo in ftp.c (#1507)

[Cosmetic] Error in FTP listings of files with -> in their name
        (#1508)

[Cosmetic] With Squid-2.5 there is no more the DUPLICATE IP
        logging in cache.log (#779)

[Minor] Fails to process long host names (#1434)
