To accept https traffic as an https server you use the https_port.

http_port knows nothing about SSL.

Not by default.

The easiest method is to set up your web server as a cache peer, with
SSL enabled (see the cache_peer directive after applying the patch).
Don't forget never_direct. But there is other alternatives as well.
