66.227.81.53:443 is not an SSL server. In fact not even an HTTP server.
Connecting to the port only echoes back
<tab>Connected

in plain text.

but both links works here, so far that when using the https link the
browser hangs but a tcpdump shows the non-SSL data being delivered to
the client, and using the http link makes Connected show up in the
browser like expected.. (read as a HTTP/0.9 response).
