Hi Carlos,

If I remember correctly you are compiling form a source rpm right? If so
you need to put ulimit -HSn right before the configure line in the SPEC
file. You also need to update the init.d file but I think you already
did that by hand.

the build section of my spec file looks like like this:

%build
 ulimit -HSn 8192
 export CFLAGS="-fPIE -Os -g -pipe -fsigned-char" ; export LDFLAGS=-pie ;
%configure \
   --exec_prefix=/usr \
   --bindir=%{_sbindir} \ ...
