Only if the network can be set up in such manner that all return traffic
from the Internet passes via the proxy server host. This is most easily
done in setups where Squid is running on the router, but it's theory
possible to do in other setups as well.

It is not possible to run Squid as a standard proxy on a separate server
in the local network while masquerading as the original client IP
without very close cooperation with the Internet router. This because
the proxy needs to masquerade as being the client IP, and if the
Internet return traffic isn't routed via the proxy host then this
masquerading as the original client IP won't work out very well (not at
all in fact..).
