[squid-users] Squid and Realplayer = 'General Error'

Dear all,

When using the latest Squid sources, I regularly see an error trying to
use Realplayer (10.5) through the HTTP proxy.

For example, go to news.bbc.co.uk and try to view videos using HTTP
proxy only.

Usually (but not always) I get the first 59 seconds of a feed/clip, and
then Realplayer reports 'A general errors has occurred' (nice useful
error!)

At this time, in the CACHE.LOG, the message appears:
CommSelecttimeout: FD 23, 60

There are also some messages about Pconn being closed.

Does anyone else use Realplayer through 2.6 Stable 4? Can you test using
the BBC site through your squid. There don't seem to be any applicable
timeouts of around 1 minute, and I can't seem to find one in the code.
Where should I look?

I am using Squid 2.6 Stable 4-20041014 on (don't laugh) OS2.

Thank you for any help,
Regards,

Stephen
