Hello...

my squid is below..

linux kernel : 2.6.18
squid : 2.6.STABLE4-20060928
Memory : 4G RAM
CPU : AMD Opteron

COSS config at squid.conf
cache_dir coss /cache/coss 25000 block-size=2048 max-size=1000000
membufs=500

I can see lots of log at /var/log/squid/cache.log

storeCossCreateMemOnlyBuf: no free membufs.
You may need to increase the value of membufs on the /cache/coss cache_dir

So I changed mebufs=700 like below..
cache_dir coss /cache/coss 25000 block-size=2048 max-size=1000000
membufs=500

and refreshed squid
But error messages like below...
But squid daemon is not down in spite of the error...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FATAL: COSS ERROR: Squid will likely use too much memory if it ever used
500MB worth of buffers
Squid Cache (Version 2.6.STABLE4-20060928): Terminated abnormally.
CPU Usage: 0.000 seconds = 0.000 user + 0.000 sys
Maximum Resident Size: 0 KB
Page faults with physical i/o: 0
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What's the problem? or no problem?
Can't I set over 500 to membufs?
and What can I do solve this problem??

Thanks for your help~~
